Tour of Como

Visit Como, the historic city of Lombardy located on the lake of the same name using our car rental service with driver, with utmost professionalism and punctuality guaranteed. You can visit the majestic Como Cathedral located in the famous square in the centre of Como, dedicated to Santa Maria Maggiore and built according to Gothic/Renaissance style. Constructed between 1396 and 1740, this building is defined as one of the masterpieces of Northern Italy, combining perfect proportions and gentle elegance. Construction of the cathedral’s dome project was spearheaded by the architect Filippo Juvarra. In contrast, the facade was built between 1455 and 1486 according to the design by Giovanni Rodari, the founding father of podiums and the statues of Pliny the Younger and Pliny the Elder. Inside the church, you can admire tapestries of the 16th and 17th centuries from Ferrara, Florence and Brussels, as well as Bernardino Luini's and Gaudenzio Ferrari's paintings, dated around 1500 AD. Next to the Cathedral rises the Broletto Palace, which can be visited from the inside. Likewise, the Walk of Villas is not to be missed: stretching along the lake, it allows you to admire the ancient villas dated between 700 and 800 AD, acting as protagonists of this enchanting scenery. Some of the most beautiful Villas located along the walk include Villa Olmo, Villa Saporiti, Villa Gallia, Villa Parravicini Revel and Villa Mondolfo Volontè.
