Walking along Bolzano, the alpine city rich in history and culture, you will breathe its fresh air, while enjoying both its historic atmosphere and modernity. The city’s points of interest include Duomo, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, which hides its origin by uniting three churches, one Paleochristian built in the 4th century BC, one medieval church built in the 8th century AD, and one church built in Romanesque style which dates back to the 11th century AD. Duomo’s final version dates to 1519 and follows Gothic style, with its imposing bell tower of 65 metres high that will brighten your visit thanks to the amazing chimes of its 25 bells. The Piazza delle Erbe is located in the center of the city, housing the famous market dedicated to the amazing fresh food products of Trentino Alto Adige, including fruits and vegetables, in addition to meat and wine. In the centre of the square, you can admire the Fontana del Nettuno, recognised as one of the 100 most beautiful fountains in Italy.
